This functionality is not an advanced or optional feature; it is a basic and essential requirement for any GST compliance software.
It is pertinent to note that the GSTN portal itself has been providing auto-populated GSTR-3B data for more than five years. In such a scenario, continued development or delayed implementation of this feature in third-party software raises serious concerns from an end-user standpoint.
As a practicing professional handling multiple clients and high-volume compliance work, the absence of such a fundamental feature does not contribute to efficiency, accuracy, or professional betterment. On the contrary, it results in:
• Duplication of work
• Increased manual intervention
• Higher risk of errors
• Reduced productivity and turnaround time
If a feature that has already become standard practice at the GST portal level is still under development in the software, it becomes difficult to understand how the software adds incremental value to a professional’s day-to-day GST compliance workflow.
From an end-user’s perspective, software should simplify and enhance compliance, not merely replicate or lag behind the statutory system. Therefore, unless such core functionalities are fully implemented, stable, and user-ready, the software’s practical usefulness for professionals remains limited.
We request a clear roadmap, committed timelines, and immediate prioritisation of such essential features, as they directly impact our ability to deliver timely and accurate services to our clients.
